Stephen Dolan has a wide experience in heritage and history. He was the manager of the very successful Portumna Workhouse Museum, which assists in sharing the story of workhouse system and its people. Stephen is now CEO of Galway Rural Development (GRD).
On Sunday 22nd August at 12:30pm Stephen will deliver a talk on the local history of GAA football and Camogie over the years of 1889-1914/5. There will be camogie booklets, spanning 1906-1932 and written by Stephen, on sale on the day for €5. All proceeds will be donated to Ballyglunin Station.
This is a free outdoor event in conjunction with Hertiage Week.
