Donate to Ballyglunin Station
Ballyglunin Train Station is an Irish heritage site of great interest and a valuable community resource, supporting local arts and creative communities. Our walls are heavy with history; but they need our care to offer up their stories and continue to enthral all those who come to visit here. As a registered charity and custodians of Ballyglunin Station, we rely on donations from the public to help maintain the late 19th century buildings and continue our restoration project of this rare heritage rail gem in the Galway countryside.
For over 15 years, we have received the generous support of the local community and the wider public who value the work we do here to preserve Ballyglunin Station, including individual and corporate donations. Our station was the point of departure for so many Irish emigrants who left to seek a better life overseas, and many people from around the world like to honour that connection with a donation. We are delighted to receive donations of any size and you will join a long list of supporters who will forever be friends of Ballyglunin. Donations can be made securely online using the button below.
We also accept post-humous donations.
Tax Relief Scheme
You can help us make the most of your donation! The Charitable Donation Scheme allows tax relief on qualifying donations made to eligible charities like Ballyglunin Station. For example, if an individual donates €250 or more in a year, we can claim a refund of tax paid on that donation. If you are a company and donate €250 or more to us in a year, your company can claim a tax deduction as if the donation was a trading expense.
Thank you for your cooperation. It means a lot to us!
